The 69 Cats
The 69 Cats are an all-star psychobilly ensemble whose music honors the "billy" just as much as the "psycho." Blending elements of goth and hard rock along with the usual vintage rhythm and twang, The 69 Cats is a rockabilly supergroup featuring members of Headcat, The 69 Eyes, The Cramps, The Damned, Nekromantix & Blondie. The group released their first full-length album ”Transylvanian Tapes” in 2014. The group was formed by Jyrki 69, the vocalist of the Finnish goth rock band The 69 Eyes and Danny B. Harvey, the American rockabilly guitar legend who played with Motörhead’s Lemmy’s Headcat and The Rockats as well as backing up Wanda Jackson and Nancy Sinatra. For their first album they had Chopper Franklin, a former member of The Cramps, on bass and Clem Burke of Blondie on drums. The new album "Seven Year Itch" is due to be released in 2021 with a single ”Hollywood’s Bleeding” by Halloween 2020 featuring a brand new line-up with Jyrki 69 and Danny B. Harvey and legendary Rat Scabies of The Damned on drums and Kim Nekroman from Nekromantix on bass. The first single is a rock'n'roll cover of a Post Malone song.
