Anglachel
Anglachel is a Dungeon Synth project by Admetos (Elegos, Faunus), drawing inspiration from the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. The project's debut came in 2017 with the EP "Of Tuor and His Coming to Gondolin", initially released on tape by WulfRuneXX and reissued by Gondolin Records in 2022 with bonus tracks. In 2019, Anglachel released its first full-length album, "Of Tuor, Idril, and Their Departure from Gondolin", on tape via Gondolin Records and self-released on CD. The second full-length, "Of the Men of Dor-lómin and Their Sacrifice in Nirnaeth Arnoediad", followed in 2020, released on tape by Neuropa Records and again self-released on CD. 2021 saw the release of the EP "A Light That Shines So Bright", a digital-only release with proceeds donated to organizations aiding stray animals in Greece. In 2023, Anglachel collaborated with Idylls of The Last King on a split album inspired by the myth of Prometheus and also released its third full-length, "Of Eärendil and the War of Wrath", on tape via Dark Age Productions and self-released on CD. That same year, Anglachel began performing live. In 2025 the latest album "Of the Sea-Longing and the Journey to the West"was released digitally and will be released on tape later this year by Gondolin Records.
