Acidcore-Events in Paris

Acidcore emerged from the 1990s European underground rave movement as a high-velocity fusion of acid techno's psychedelic modulations and the aggressive energy of hardcore techno. The genre is primarily defined by the relentless utilization of the Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, which produces iconic, distorted, and squelching resonance sweeps over heavily processed, overdriven four-to-the-floor kick drums. Rhythmically, it maintains a punishing pace typically ranging between 150 and 180 beats per minute, fostering a dark, hypnotic, and industrial atmosphere designed for high-impact sound systems. As a critical stylistic bridge, it connects the mechanical precision of electronic music with the raw textures of industrial culture, prioritizing sonic intensity over melodic structure.
