Un acierto para DC.Está más interesada en ser un estudio de personaje con body horror que una película de superhéroes (y eso funciona a su favor). Su bajo presupuesto a veces la limita, pero en general funciona

To be completely honest, I’m in love with the movie, Clayface. I’m still kinda blown away by how good this movie was. It was everything I wanted it to be and somehow it exceeded every expectation I had. First of all, I was not prepared for how bloody this movie was. Gotham has never been this gloomy and disturbing. There were two scenes that made me so uncomfortable I actually had to look away from the screen. I loved it.This movie wastes absolutely no time. There’s no unnecessary fluff or complicated backstory you need to understand beforehand. You don’t have to know anything about the DC universe to enjoy it. It just gets straight to the point. I cannot stress how excellent the pacing was. Now in Clayface, every character brought something different to the story and not one performance felt wasted. I love it when an entire cast eats down like this. You find yourself caring about all these characters even when their interests don’t align. Tom Rhys Harries perfectly embodies Matt Hagen. You feel for him and understand his desperation. There are times when you know you probably shouldn’t be rooting for him but that’s what makes him such a compelling antihero. Harries makes you sympathize with a character whose actions aren’t always easy to defend. Naomi Ackie really is the heart of this movie. As Caitlyn, she brings a level of empathy and compassion that grounds the story and makes you understand the heartbreak behind it all. Max Minghella as John was a standout for me. There’s something so sincere about his performance that makes it impossible not to root for him. If my man don’t love me like John? I don’t want himClayface is unexpectedly funny too. The humor was so natural. Nothing felt forced or corny. One minute I was squirming in my seat and the next I was laughing. There’s even a sequence that reminded me of Jacob’s Ladder that I thought was genius. The audience absolutely loved it. You could hear people reacting throughout the movie, and by the end, everyone seemed just as blown away as I was. I was completely sucked in from beginning to end. I genuinely cannot get over how good this movie was. Easily one of my favorite films of the year.
This is the best Clayface movie ever.
