Austrian premiere as part of the CEE program. Compared to other religions, I still find Buddhism somewhat appealing because it isn't sectarian. Nonetheless, during my recent trips to Nepal and Bhutan, I witnessed how people believe they can improve their standard of living through offerings and ritual practices. And that does make me nervous, because education, for instance, would probably be the better way... easier said than done, of course. The film is okay for anyone interested in the subject.
