Κομμάτια5

Traditional singer and guitarist Rudi Flores was born in the Argentinean province of Corrientes in 1961, the son of bandoneon player and orchestra leader Avelino Flores. Flores began to play guitar at the age of seven, and soon began working with his father's orchestra along with younger brother Nini Flores, who was born in Corrientes in 1966 and had mastered both the accordion and the bandoneon. The brothers officially formed the duo Rudi & Nini Flores in 1984. They recorded Argentine: Chamamé -- Music of Paraná for ethnomusicologist Michel Plisson in 1993, and the album was subsequently released on the Ocora Radio France label in 1996. The brothers relocated to France in 2000, releasing Por Cielos Lejanos, also on the Ocora imprint, in 2003. A third album for Ocora Radio France, Chamame: Music of Corrientes, appeared in 2006. ~ Steve Leggett, Rovi
