Lisbon circuit regular Black Pomade is a DJ and producer originally from Milan (Italy) active since 2007. Heavily influenced by the NY Disco scene and the Chicago originators, he's known for his melting-pot of analog synths, groovy basslines, soulful lyrics, and syncopated beats. When he's behind the decks, expect lots of House, Disco, Italo, and Funky records filling the dance floor with high energy and big smiles. Throughout the years, he had the chance to bring his music to various places outside the Portuguese borders, including radio shows in Ibiza and Melbourne, and gigs in Vienna, Sofia, and his hometown Milan. In April 2020 Black Pomade released his first single "Marine", an Acid Italo Disco track in collaboration with the photographer Eric Bouvet and the art gallery MONO. In May he also remixed the track "Cages" from the Brooklyn-based band Sontag Shogun, and "Cash Back", a classic house banger edit on Modmotif. Finally, in October, he released his first physical record, a white-labeled 7" containing two dutch-sang electropop tracks, revisited for a modern twist.
Black Pomade plays House, Disco, and Acid, often blending analog synths and groovy basslines, with releases on labels like Last Forever Records and Manzo Edits.
