Eliane Correa

Eliane Correa is a Latina pianist, MD and composer based between London and Havana. Known for the versatility of her creative output, she tours as keyboard soloist for The World Of Hans Zimmer and Hans Zimmer Live; as a writer, her sound gravitates between her Latin roots, the UK jazz sound, and elements of cinematic music. During her early years in London she became known for her work as a bandleader with Latin Urban/Alternative band WARA, with who she tours both in the UK and internationally, and has won three LUKAS Awards. Since 2012, she leads two other projects, La Evolución Orchestra, a contemporary and original Cuban Timba project, with who she has just released her first single and music video, and Afro-Cuban jazz/soul ensemble En El Aire Project, with which she released the highly innovative, critically acclaimed album Rumba Con Flores in 2016 (Movimientos Records). Her current work includes curating the London Latin Jazz Festival every year; she is also a highly in demand musical director, currently working with New Regency Orchestra and Elli Ingram among others. She recently composed and directed the soundtrack for critically acclaimed Argentinian feature documentary Sombras de Luz, which had its international premiere in November 2018 in Rome, and has taken part in the composition and recording of a range of works for the screen, in Cuba, Argentina and Spain.
