Luke is a producer, writer and musician, with a distinct musical style. You can find Luke’s production, writing and playing skills on albums such as the critically acclaimed, Amy Winehouse- Frank. BB King- 80 and Andrew Lloyd Webber- Unmasked Feat Gregory Porter to name a few. Luke also worked with the late George Michael. He started working with George in 2003, where he was headhunted to record on George’s Patience Album. Since then he has recorded three more albums with George Michael- Symphonica, Twenty Five Live in London. More recently as Luke lay in a hospital bed fighting for his life from Covid-19, he promised himself that if he makes it, he will immediately release his long-awaited debut single “Travelling”. In his own words, “I didn’t want my legacy to be that I died with some great music on my hard drive!” “Travelling” is an up-tempo jazz-funk affair featuring British jazz guitar legend, Tony Remy. The track, reminiscent of the 80’s jazz-funk period, see’s Luke Smith displaying his skills on both piano and hammond organ. After garnering a solid reputation as a premier session musician for a who’s who of multi-award-winning Grammy artists, “Travelling” is Luke Smith stepping out of their shadows with a great jazz composition, his signature playing style and a hand from some well-known good friends. “Travelling” is taken off Luke Smiths’ forthcoming debut Ep - “It’s Time”.
