Limbo Days

Limbo Days is the solo project of UK songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Elliot Gaspar - a musician quietly carving out his own lane between soul, jazz and indie songwriting. Raised in Blackpool by an English mother and Czech father, Gaspar grew up on a steady diet of classic rock, soul and disco. Piano came first, aged six, before guitar, bass and drums followed, giving his music a hands-on, band-minded feel even when working solo. Originally started as a university production experiment, Limbo Days soon became Gaspar’s main creative outlet. His songs drift between tender, piano-led ballads and groove-heavy guitar tracks, stitched together with warm, vintage-leaning production and subtle modern touches. Collaboration is central to the project, often featuring close friends to build a full, organic sound. Wry lyricism and a distinctly Northern outlook gives Limbo Days its character - rooted in feel, shaped by collaboration, and guided by a quiet confidence. Gaspar has also worked as a session musician for Pete Wylie and The Mighty WAH!, supporting him on his 2025 UK tour. Alongside his own releases, he hosts the soul-focused radio show Soul Food, guests including Terry Cole of Colemine Records and Kelly Finnigan, reflecting both his deep engagement with modern soul and the influences shaping his sound. Alongside Limbo Days, he is one half of soul-disco duo Stereo Rose with Georgie Weston, a project steadily building momentum across the North West.
