Fordal

Fordal’ is Les Dales, a DJ and Producer from the North East. Now located in London. When he first learnt to DJ, Fordal began putting on parties in his local town. This early passion for house music emerged after attending super clubs such as Renaissance, Cream and the legendary Middlesbrough Arena where he went on to DJ. Hugely influenced by the more progressive sounds of House music, through DJ’s such as Sasha & John Digweed, Laurent Garrnier and Dave Seaman, Fordal also gained a strong foundation through the influences of The Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Vince Clarke, and Depeche Mode. It is these influences that are still alive in his eclectic sets. In 1998 Fordal opened ‘Binary Records’ - one of the highest regarded record shops in Middlesbrough in the late nineties, until it was struck with the digital boom and closed in 2001. In the subsequent decades, Fordal has had the opportunity to display his skills and passion as a DJ, at several venues including Middlesbrough institutions such as Arena, Purple Onion, and the Cornerhouse. In 2018/19 Fordal completed his first tour of Ibiza as well as Debuts at the prestigious dance floors of Ministry of Sound and Egg in his now hometown of London. 2022 is time for Fordal with his extensive music library and understanding of the dance floor to take both his DJing and production to the next level.
