Benjamin Sanz is a drummer, composer and producer from Paris, France. His drumming is rooted into west african music, black american music and avant garde. He leads his own quinted, featuring some of the greatest improvisers and composers in Europe : Hermon Mehari, Rob Clearfield, Ricardo Izquierdo and Luca Fattorini. Benjamin has been working with esteemed artists, including David Murray, Archie Shepp, Oliver Lake, Napoleon Maddox, Bobby Few, Sabir Mateen, James Brandon Lewis, Jared Nickerson, Herve Samb, Roy Campbell, Logan Richardson, Steve Potts, aming many others. His third album in quintet as a leader will be released in october on MiRR label in october 2024.
