Zuzanna Całka is a clasically trained pianist and composer. Her debut EP, Late Night Takes is meditative piano ballades built around the idea of boketto which in Japanese means the art of daydreaming; gazing into the distance, lost in thought which is the artist's way of slowing down and being present in the modern world. Zuzanna decided to release this album under her own label LNT.wav established in Warsaw in 2023. Coming up in April 2025 Late Night Takes expands to synthesizers, exploring the beauty of electronic keyboards and sound design. Minimalist sketches contrast with complex structures, creating intriguing, and sometimes even hallucinatory, trance-like melodies. Major role in the process is improvisation which emerges each show in a different way. Zuzanna has been playing the piano since she can remember. Awarded with Ist prize on Transatlantyk Instant Composition Contest for composing music for two short movies, with Oscar winning head of the jury Jan AP Kaczmarek.
