Urca de Lima

Urca de Lima, who got the inspiration for their name from the marine legends of the New World, is a new band from Thessaloniki with their music compass being the creation of music through the mixture of various musical traditions, rythms and cultures of different civilizations. Having in the center of their musical exploration, sounds from North and South America, as well as the Jazz tradition of improvisation, they seek to create their own sound, their own compositions on the basis of Latin traditions of the South and swing traditions from the North, merging them with the musical influences of their own generation such as Trip Hop. A band, born in the heart of the city of Thessaloniki and formed by students of the Contemporary Conservatory of Thessaloniki with other great young, aspiring musicians of the city, they have already released one EP called "Azule Tapes" featuring four of their creations and just released their first Album, featuring 11 tracks, called "Steam City", exploring a steampunk, modern ambient jazz sound that put the base of their musical journey!
