Nicola Sergio

Holder of three degrees in Classical Piano, Jazz, and Music Education from the Conservatory of Perugia, as well as a Master’s in Economics from the University of the same Italian city, Nicola Sergio has been performing since 2010 in clubs, theatres and festivals across Europe, as well as in Turkey and South Korea. Praised by international critics, he has received numerous awards for his albums, including the Jazzit Awards 2010 (Italy) in the categories Best International Album (Critics’ Choice) and Best Italian Composer (Public Choice) for the album Symbols; Best Album Selection 2012 (Korea) for the album Illusions; and Best Album Selection 2015 (Germany) for the album Migrants. He served for four years as artistic director of Jazz for Nepal, a series of charity concerts organized by the association Partage dans le monde, bringing renowned jazz, classical, and world-music artists to the stages of the Sunside, the New Morning, and the Salle Gaveau. He has collaborated with numerous musicians, including Stéphane Kercecki, Fabrice Moreau, Joe Quitzke, Xavier Desandre Navarre, Arnaud Cuisinier, Thomas Savy, Jean-Charles Richard, Yoann Loustalot, Yoni Zelnik, Federico Casagrande, Bartolomeo Barenghi, Matteo Bortone, Guillem Flouzat, Mélanie Badal, Francesco Bearzatti, Javier Girotto, Michel Rosen, Daniel Herdmann, Luc Isenmann, Mauro Gargano, Christophe Marguet, Irene Amata, Gabriella Zanchi, Matteo Pastorino, Igor Spallati, Armando Luongo, Marco Bardoscia, and many others…
