Illnoledge is a duo of brothers Steve Hartley and Mill Voyance, producers and composers. Rooted in a rich musical upbringing and inspired by their Caribbean heritage, they have developed a unique sound they call “Akan Fu” — an acronym for A Kulture Attuning to Nature for Unification. This style blends influences from afrobeat, soul, latin, jazz, and reggae, creating hypnotic heartbeat rhythms, mystical melodies, and cryptic lyrics that convey a deep spiritual and cultural philosophy. Their name, I.L.L.N.O.L.E.D.G.E., stands for Intuitive, Limitless, Liberal-minded, New-fangled, Original, Luminous, Educative, Dedicated, Genuine, Elevators, reflecting their mission to uplift listeners and share a message of unity and awareness. Their music is best described as Pan-African dream music, embodying the spirit of black cultural heritage and an invitation to vibrate higher in unison with nature and the cosmos. Illnoledge first gained widespread attention with their acclaimed Orisun live video release five years ago. Since then, they have performed at major venues and festivals including Paradiso(Amsterdam ),Zinnema (Brussel), Dooinit Festival (Rennes), Le Guess Who festival, Super Sonic Jazz festival. They continue to build on their legacy with several singles released and a highly anticipated album titled “Everlasting” is set for release in late 2025.
