FRENCH TOAST
Underground καλλιτέχνης punk rock
French Toast is a young, indie London based band playing an eclectic range of sound going from soul to garage, and from rock to grunge. They fuse eccentric melodies and crazy guitar riffs, all this in a high fever punk energy. Their style is innovative as they add electronic synthesizer sounds to their sets, giving them an out of this world experience. Singing in both French and English, their singer’s voice is a mix between Amy Winehouse and Courtney love. The band is overall inspired by artists such as Radiohead, The Cranberries, Thundercat, Aretha Franklin, Hiatus Kayote, Nirvana, Black Midi, Michael Jackson. French Toast’s purpose and challenge is to deliver a high punk energy show without losing the soulfulness or the musical quality of its songs. Proudly feminist and fiercely in love with alternative music, French Toast is your daily dose of punk and soul fusion for breakfast, lunch and supper. The songwriting of their lead singer and guitarist Eloise touches personal and intimate subjects such as love, heartbreak, deep feelings and traumatic life experiences. As punk ambassadors, they identify as an activist band. They talk about their politic values and their vision of the world. They mainly focus on raising awareness to abolish any types of discrimination between genres, races, classes. They also have at heart to talk about climate change .
