Matt Ramos

Matt Ramos bends genre in hip hop, choosing authenticity even against the grain. Born in the Bronx and raised on smooth jazz, funk, and RnB, he gravitated toward metal as a teen, buying his first guitar at fourteen. By 2004, he was performing live across NYC with his band Undying Devotion, sharing stages with acts like Emmure and The Human Abstract, before shifting his focus to production. Starting with basic software, Ramos quickly became obsessed with crafting tracks, ultimately producing over 1000 originals and developing his skills in engineering, lyricism, and songwriting. A hard drive crash forced a hiatus, but in 2021 he returned stronger, building hundreds of new songs. In 2023, his lyrics became deeply personal, and by 2024, he found himself confidently recording vocals. Today, Ramos stands as a fully self-built artist, forging distinct, emotive soundscapes that defy genre, celebrate humanity, and cut through an AI-driven landscape with raw, undeniable authenticity.
