Hen.D

Hen.D is an audiovisual artist from London. He began recording as early as 2009, finding some early success from 2015 as the lead singer and guitarist of punk band Birdsong, then running several other bands. Since 2020, he settled into the artist name 'skttrd', self-releasing four singles and two EPs, and creating a portfolio of experimental music videos with close collaborators. His art film 'Kicking The Can' was shown at Scuplture Tasmania in 2020. In 2024 he settled into his current pseudonym — Hen.D — and released a debut album 'ReImagination' on Pretty Decent Music. This release sought to encapsulate a move into a refined, audience-focused approach to production whilst maintaining the experimental, punk ethos of his early work, skirting the edges of experimental and popular electronic music. This included 11 songs in his signature cinematic style, creating a journey across 2-step, contemporary garage , breaks and ambient music. Hen.D performs live electronic sets, often alongside Plumm, and has performed at Boomtown, Punchdrunk's immersive theatre space 'Burnt City' and countless grassroots venues.
