Sense of Urgency

The project was born in 2018 when Roberto De Maria (singer,guitar) and Andrea Meo (drums, synth) long-time friends met again in Milan, deciding to meet in a rehearsal room due to their shared passion for music. After an initial period of mutual listening and jamming, the first songs began to take shape, leading the two to look for other members to start a real musical project. In the same year Andrea Scipioni (lead guitar, backing vocal) joined, with whom a period of consolidation and refinement of ideas began, while the sound of the group took shape. There was immediately a clear desire to write original songs, blending a wide spectrum of Metal genres (thrash, death, djent, alternative, black, metalcore, progressive). During the creation of various new songs, the lineup was completed in 2022 with the entry of Loris Romeo (bass) who definitively established the sound and compositional profile of the group. The name Sense of Urgency was born from the intrinsic need of each member to communicate through music part of their own self, a motion and revolt of the soul in constant renewal that seeks ways to express and free itself.
