While in attendance to St Catherine high School he helped form boy bands, as one of these featured Christopher Martin. As a teen, growing up in Spanish town, music was a good avenue to stay out of trouble and avoid the vices of the inner city streets that were swallowing his peers.   Edwards was an outstanding vocalist in the Digicel 2005 Rising Stars, performing with the Group Q. Edwards had reached mass audiences through Entering the Digicel Rising Stars competition working with acts like Beres Hammond, Stevie and Clevie with television Jamaica appearances.
