Whispers of Torment

Whispers of Torment is a five-piece band from Southern California. Pulling influence from a variety of other acts ranging from all possible ends of the music scene, Whispers of Torment pushes to deliver a sound that is not afraid to be both familiar and new in the cascade of metal genres. Starting in 2015, Whispers began working on a few songs that would eventually become the Red Day Dawning EP, fully realized in May of 2019. After a small hiatus and some lineup changes that would benefit the band greatly, Whispers put together and released a cover of Evanescence's Lacrymosa in November of 2019. That summer, Whispers took to the studio to fully actualize their first full-length project, diving deep into the concepts of the nature of humanity and the intrinsic belief that what we choose to do is for our best, even when we are blind to how horrific our actions truly are. Thus, having put their own spin on a classical tale, Dante was finalized. Unfortunately, in the aftermath of Covid-19, the comings and goings of various band members, and the years long hiatus that came with it, Whispers was at a loss in direction. However, with the lineup eventually solidified once more, Dante began slowly being released in 2023 and saw its full unveiling in 2025. Far from giving up, Whispers now looks to the future with hopeful promise. New things are coming, and we can't wait to share them with you. See you in the pit -Saul, Chris, Grant, Oscar, DeRyan
