Ωμός, underground καλλιτέχνης experimental pop
Eben Portnoy and Sara Magenheimer started out playing together in the band Flying before splitting off and starting a more experimental lo-fi project called Fertile Crescent. After self releasing a 7", the duo changed their name to Woom. Based out of Oakland and Los Angeles by way of Brooklyn, the two spent the autumn of 2009 recording in a barn in Eastern Massachusetts. Ultimately honing in on a D.I.Y., deconstructed sound, the duo toured Europe with the similarly unconventional Xiu Xiu -- and hopped on shows in the states with Fiery Furnaces and Beirut. In 2010, Woom signed with BaDaBing Records and released their debut full-length Muu’s Way. ~ Jason Lymangrover, Rovi
