Alix Brown

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Alix Brown has left a significant mark on the scene with her signature blonde hair, eclectic taste, and extensive sonic knowledge. Her move to New York City is where she built a multifaceted career as a vinyl DJ and musician. A self taught bass player and vocalist, she has performed in bands such as La Femme, Daisy Glaze, Angry Angles and Golden Triangle while also being the go-to DJ for prestigious events and luxury fashion houses, including Chanel, Gucci and Fendi. She has even shared the decks with legends like Mark Ronson, James Murphy, Paris Hilton and Jellybean Benitez. Now she is back with her first release as a solo artist, Tormento, a haunting, disco-tinged anthem about longing, desire, and the magnetic pull of temptation. Set against the backdrop of a neon-lit, late-night rendezvous, Tormento blends the lyrical playfulness of Serge Gainsbourg with the smooth, irresistible rhythm of Daft Punk. A collaborative effort between Alix, composer and multi-instrumentalist Louis Fontaine, and writer Margo Fortuny, Tormento was recorded between Los Angeles, Paris and Madrid.
