Rip My Bottom Lip is the solo music project of Austin-born songwriter, producer, and vocalist Alec Esteban Cudmore. RMBL combines elements of electro, alt-rock, post-punk, and bedroom pop - with a crooning vocal style, reminiscent of Jeff Buckley or Beirut’s Zach Condon. The Wild Is Calling describes his work as “intricate compositions with exciting alt pop flash,” writing that Cudmore is “molding songs full of surprise and progressive drama.” They note his ability to “blend the auras of electronic and indie rock,” drawing comparisons to “the breakout work of Del Water Gap with the electro appeal of Passion Pit.” SOXO Radio highlighted his “obsession with making unusual sounds,” calling his 2024 EP Bend a Friend an emotive release filled with experimental range. RMBL's biggest musical moments are a palette of stirring synths, noise nostalgia, and digital heartbreak.
Rip My Bottom Lip creates a blend of alternative rock, electronic pop, and post-punk, often incorporating darkwave and synthpop elements with a distinctive crooning vocal style.
