Formed in 1982 in Chelmsford, Essex, Nitzer Ebb is a pioneering force in the Electronic Body Music (EBM) scene. The trio, consisting of Douglas McCarthy, Bon Harris, and David Gooday, is known for their powerful rhythms and aggressive, minimal sound. They gained international fame through the late 80s and early 90s, notably touring with label mates Depeche Mode and reaching the US dance charts with hits like 'Fun To Be Had'. Over the decades, their sound evolved from raw industrial techno to incorporating live instrumentation, and they remain a highly influential act in electronic music history.
