Underground, queer βραδιά bullerengue
A drumming workshop in Burgess Park led by Valeria Pacific as part of Studio 12's 'A Door to Experimentation' residency. The workshop invites FLINTA participants to explore the drum as a tool for communication, community building, self-expression, and collective care. Drawing on bullerengue and Afro-Colombian traditions, participants will learn foundational rhythms and techniques while reflecting on the historical relationship between women and percussion.
