Marisa Anderson is a Portland-based composer and multi-instrumentalist whose work spans solo performances and collaborations. Her sound draws from a diverse array of influences, including Delta blues, West African guitar, 60s and 70s country radio, gospel, and noise. She is known for her mastery of the guitar and lap steel, having released two albums of improvisations. In recent years, her music has earned her opportunities to perform alongside notable acts such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Devil Makes 3, and Sharon Van Etten.
