Doikayt are a Klezmer ensemble dedicated to the celebration and preservation of Eastern-European Jewish instrumental music. Taking their name from the Yiddish word for 'hereness', the group draws on a long history of diasporic Jewish culture and politics. This unique afternoon performance, hosted in an intimate house concert setting, explores the Klezmer tradition while standing in solidarity with collective liberation and global peace. Following the performance, attendees are invited to participate in a voluntary introduction to silent Sufi meditation and enjoy refreshments. The event features a stripped-back, intimate lineup of the band specifically for the School of Sufi Teaching Zawiya.
