Nationaal Cello Concours: Eerste Ronde at Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ Amsterdam
Piet Heinkade 1, 1019 BR Amsterdam, Netherlands
The most exciting part of the Cello Biennale Amsterdam. Following a pre-selection, fifteen young cello talents are given the opportunity to present themselves to an international jury across three rounds. In this free first round, all participants perform the same pieces. For the first time in ten competitions, the program features works by Italian composer-cellist Giovanni Battista Cirri instead of Luigi Boccherini, alongside pieces by David Popper and a modern work by Karmit Fadael.
