Elefante is a Grammy-nominated Mexican Latin pop and Rock en Español group that formed in Mexico City during the early 1990s. The ensemble gained significant recognition in 2000 after opening for Joaquín Sabina and representing Mexico at the Viña del Mar festival in Chile. Their discography includes notable albums like El Que Busca Encuentra and Lo Que Andabamos Buscando. Following the departure of original lead singer Reyli Barba for a solo career, the band continued to achieve success with subsequent vocalists, earning a Latin Grammy nomination for their self-titled third album. Today, the group's sound is led by long-time members and songwriters Rafael López and Javi Cantero.
