Benjamin Herman European Alto Festival at LantarenVenster Rotterdam
Dit najaar presenteert Benjamin Herman de zevende editie van het European Alto Festival, zijn persoonlijke ode aan de altsaxofoon en aan de in 2011 overleden saxofonist Piet Noordijk. Onder Hermans artistieke leiding staan dit jaar twee van zijn favoriete altsaxofonisten centraal: de Spaanse Irene Reig en de Schotse Rachael Cohen. Samen laten zij de rijke klank en expressieve kracht van de altsaxofoontraditie horen. Ze worden begeleid door een ijzersterke ritmesectie met Miguel Rodriguez, Veerle van der Wal en Alexia Harpa.
