De drie Indiase maestro’s van Lakkshya verbluffen met strak samenspel en vloeiende, over elkaar heen buitelende lijnen. Daarmee zijn ze de ideale partners voor Naruto 3, waarin we bekende namen uit de Nederlandse improvisatiemuziek terugvinden. Samen geven ze een unieke eigentijdse draai aan Indiase stijlen. Lakkshya uit Bangalore bestaat in de kern uit drie vernieuwers van de Indiase muziek: violist KJ Diliip, violist/zangeres Ila Diliip en veelzijdig percussionist Sunaad Anoor. Onder het motto ‘from roots to infinity’ geven ze hun eigen visie op traditionele Karnatische muziek, waarbij ze open staan voor nieuwe genres. De drie leden van Naruto 3 kennen elkaar al jaren. Altviolist Oene van Geel, fluitist Ned McGowan en gitarist Mark Tuinstra zijn terugkerende namen op ons podium. Ze staan bekend om hun passie voor en kennis van Indiase muziek, die ze mixen met allerlei andere stijlen. Het trio ontstond afgelopen januari tijdens hun tournee in India, waar ze een verbond sloten met Lakkshya.
