Experience samba in its purest form as the eight-piece Saravá Samba Project transforms the Muziekgebouw terrace into a vibrant Brazilian dance floor. This cultural heritage event invites the audience to form a traditional 'roda de samba' (samba circle) around the musicians, creating an immersive spectacle of layered rhythms. Founded by percussionist Jeroen Hensel after his extensive studies and performances in Brazil, the project serves as a dedicated ambassador for the genre, featuring authentic vocals, cavaquinho, and powerful percussion.
