The Big Micro
The Big Micro is a multi-act performance featuring the world-renowned Ukrainian quartet DakhaBrakha. Known for their unique "ethno chaos" sound, DakhaBrakha masterfully blends traditional Ukrainian polyphony with global influences ranging from jazz and punk to African and Arabian rhythms. Joining them is Brainstory, a trio from Rialto, California, whose music draws from jazz, soul, and rock, as heard on their latest album Sounds Good. The lineup also includes JJUUJJUU & friends, and the experimental multi-instrumentalist Li Daiguo, whose work combines Western classical, bluegrass, and traditional Chinese music with contemporary improvisation.
