Helado Negro & Reyna Tropical
Υπαίθρια, αισιόδοξη βραδιά latin alternative
Helado Negro is the current moniker of Brooklyn-based Ecuadorian-American producer and songwriter Robert Carlos Lange, whose lyrically personal and political avant pop music explores the expressivity within intense states of being, Latinx identity, and pluralistic sensibilities. Helado Negro’s spectral experimental pop draws imagined beings, ghosts, haunted machines, and atmospheres into a beautiful and heartfelt world. His most recent album, 2024’s Phasor, was hailed by Pitchfork for its “space-age synths, wistful romance, and the breeziest vibe in town.” Best known for their rhythmic, hip-swaying tropical feel, Reyna Tropical’s music features Ableton-made beats produced by Nectali “Sumohair” Diaz—featuring Afro Indigenous drum patterns and environmental samples—expertly mixed with dreamy guitar riffs and soft vocals by Fabi Reyna.
