Attila The Stockbroker & John Otway
Νοσταλγική βραδιά folk punk
In 1991, Attila and John Otway created a comedic rock opera titled 'Cheryl', which became a notable success at the Edinburgh Fringe. Celebrating its 35th anniversary, the duo is reviving the show for a series of performances. This event at The Dublin Castle serves as a warm-up for their run at the Rebellion Festival and the PBH Free Fringe. The performance consists of two parts: the first features selections from their 'Headbutts & Halibuts' show, a mix of Otway's hits, Attila's poetry, and collaborative experiments. The second half is a full performance of 'Cheryl', their 'everyday story of Satanism, Trainspotting, Drug Abuse and Unrequited Love'. Expect a blend of high-energy radical poetry and idiosyncratic musical performance.
