After their first collaborative concert in May 2026, the Orchestre de Paris welcomes back 2024 La Maestra competition winner Bar Avni. The conductor leads a 19th-century program featuring violinist Midori as soloist. Midori performs Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, a romantic and virtuosic work that holds a special place in her repertoire. The program also features Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll, a symphonic poem incorporating themes from the opera Siegfried, and Elgar’s Enigma Variations, a series of personal musical portraits whose underlying theme remains a mystery.
