Sanctuary: 119-121 Pierrepont Street office:, 48 Monroe Pl, Brooklyn, NY 11201
The improvising collective No-Neck Blues Band (NNCK) returns to open ISSUE’s Fall season at the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn. Formed in NYC in 1993, the group is known for favoring anonymity, autonomy, and obfuscation. Performing for the first time in thirteen years as NNCK AD, the ensemble presents a non-idiomatic collective improvisation featuring founding member Keith Connolly. The performance is expected to last approximately one hour, described as a remembrance of things both past and yet to come, utilizing strings, sticks, stones, and signals to forgotten gods.
