Leif Kaner-Lidström
Leif Kaner-Lidström’s style has been described as a cinematic odyssey of music, inspired at its roots by classical form and melody. His compositions blend folk-like harmony and soulful rhythm with technically challenging virtuosity. Born into a musical family in South East London, the composer and pianist has received support from major broadcasters like Gilles Peterson and Moses Boyd. While established as a classical pianist through recordings on Hyperion Records and international performances with stars such as Jess Gillam, he also produces solo piano music under the alias Erik Sigurd. He is a member of the Levitation Orchestra and leads collaborative projects under the pseudonym Eriksson Kaner, working with luminaries from the South London jazz scene. This performance features two sets of music.
