De Cello Yurt op het terras van het Muziekgebouw is sinds 2022 een vast onderdeel van de Cello Biënnale Amsterdam. Verschillende festivalcellisten presenteren hier een intiem soloprogramma van ongeveer 45 minuten. Het unieke van de Yurt Sessions is de verrassing: bezoekers weten van tevoren niet welke cellist ze gaan horen of welk repertoire er wordt gespeeld. Van jazz en pop tot hedendaags en klassiek, alles is mogelijk behalve de suites van Bach.
