The Cultural Association of Kontopoula organizes a traditional Cretan festival at the former Kontopoula Primary School. The event features musical performances by Andreas Paterakis on the lyra, alongside traditional dances from Crete, Macedonia, and Thrace presented by the Chania Folklore Association 'Giannis Agiasmenakis' and the Association of Northern Greeks of Chania 'Orfeas'. Guests can enjoy a rich Cretan menu including five appetizers, traditional pilaf with boiled meat, pork with potatoes, salad, fruit, and ice cream, accompanied by local tsikoudia, wine, and Charma draught Cretan beer.
