This vocal recital takes us on a journey through a rich tapestry of musical textures and soundscapes, exploring the many facets of love. Love—an intense and multifaceted emotion—is approached here in fragments, gradually revealing its many dimensions. The first half focuses on German Romanticism through Robert Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben, tracing a relationship from its first glance to union and ultimately death. The second half explores intimacy and connection through French mélodies by Gabriel Fauré and Henri Duparc, grounded by the Greek folk-inspired songs of Manolis Kalomiris and Theophrastos Sakellaridis. The journey concludes with a dive into the world of opera, where everyday emotions are transformed into profound dramatic expression.
