The Leonkoro Quartet, established in 2019, has quickly ascended the ranks of the chamber music world, winning prestigious international awards at the London Wigmore Hall and Bordeaux competitions. For the second concert of their residency at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the quartet explores core classical repertoire. The program features Beethoven's String Quartet No. 4 and Schubert's lyrical "Rosamunde" Quartet, a work through which Schubert sought to forge a path toward his grand symphonic style. The ensemble has been mentored by legends including Alfred Brendel and members of the Alban Berg and Hagen Quartets.
