Raised in a musical family in Houston, Glasper developed his sound playing in church before honing his craft at the New School in New York City. He has since become a highly respected figure in the industry, collaborating with major artists like Kanye West and Erykah Badu. The evening features his electronic act, The Robert Glasper Experiment, alongside neo-soul vocalist Bilal, a long-time collaborator known for his experimental and soulful style since his 2001 debut 1st Born Second.
