The jazz composer and eclectic artist Ben LaMar Gay performs as part of a trio. Drawing on Chicago’s experimental lineage, the group presents a fluid and exploratory live set that weaves together influences from jazz, hip hop, house, avant-garde, and Latin music. A native of Chicago's South Side, Gay's wide-ranging 'Panamericana' style was shaped by the AACM tradition and time spent in Brazil. This performance features material from across his career, including his compilation Downtown Castles Can Never Block The Sun and his 2025 album Yowzers.
