Modern Motion Orchestra is a 15-piece large ensemble performing the original compositions and arrangements of composer and bandleader Addison Tharp. The group blends jazz traditions with classical music, pop, salsa, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and orchestral textures to create a unique musical experience. Featuring many of the most in-demand musicians in Los Angeles, the ensemble brings Tharp’s expressive and immersive works to life. This performance at Alvas Showroom marks the debut of the orchestra, offering an evening of original music.
