Shiru is a Berlin based radio maker, DJ and researcher. Drawing from her mixed Kenyan heritage, her eclectic sets weave political themes with sounds of past and present from the African continent and diaspora. As the host of élan vital (Refuge Worldwide), her selections span all genres, dedicated to the joy of unexpected connections and sunshine after the storm.
