Based between New York City, Montreal, and Havana, she merges contemporary jazz with Afro-diasporic traditions, weaving Afro-Caribbean and Latin American rhythmic forms into a bold modern voice. Winner of the TD Grand Prize Jazz Award and the Stingray Rising Star Award, Therrien is also a multiple JUNO and ADISQ nominee. She leads the acclaimed Latin Jazz Project and the duo Dialogue with pianist Albert Marqués, and has performed worldwide at star venues like Blue Note NYC, SFJAZZ, and the Lincoln Center Summer for The City.
