Top singer and trumpeter Georgina Jackson presents her ‘Mighty Mini Big Band’, a swinging, brass-led set of iconic songs delivered with her trademark velvet voice and flair for storytelling. Expect a ‘pick and mix’ of bluesy swing, classic ballads and up-tempo big band arrangements, drawing on the “Vintage Vegas” sounds that have shaped her style - from Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald to Ray Charles, Sinatra and Adele, all delivered with a hefty dose of sizzling brass. A long-standing member of the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra for over a decade, Georgina has appeared regularly as both featured vocalist and trumpet soloist, and has performed at the BBC Proms, with the BBC Big Band and Concert Orchestra. Her career spans collaborations and performances with artists including Frank Sinatra Jr., Nancy Sinatra and Seal.
